Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Born in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. Her name could be also stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise by music journalists and media. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two of the most notable covers the artist has done. Katy Perry, who endorsed the tune Runaway from her side, gave her the track a little more attention. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered a grand piano that was in the attic. It was awe-inspiring to see its capabilities. The parents of her May-Britt family and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a profession or a pastime, but for growth. Thus, she began writing her own songs. As well as Bjork She also cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. When her mother told her that the songs she wrote were not meant to make her famous however, but to encourage people to realize their own value and impact in this world, she started singing them in public. She began playing the piano when she was six years old and started creating music when she was nine. Her family didn't be aware of this until she was 14. Aurora has never imagined being famous. She claims that she enjoys writing songs. For her, the music she composes is the way that she feels anything.
